Mr. Deodhar has an overall experience of more than 30 years in promotion, analysis, appraisal/evaluation of renewable energy and climate change mitigation projects in Asia Pacific countries including India, China, Indonesia, Kyrgyz Republic, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Fiji, PNG, Bangladesh and project reviews in 35 countries around the world.
He has been working with the UFCCC Secretariat, institutional and private sector clients on CDM project development and review activities for no less than ten years. Mr. Deodhar was a member of CDM EB’s Registration & Issuance Team during 2006-2013 and a member of the CDM Accreditation Panel during 2010 – 2013. He has reviewed over 400 submissions for registration and issuance. He is also on the roster of UNFCCC Secretariat baseline and monitoring methodologies desk reviewers and has reviewed 34 new methodologies and reviewed 3 baseline methodologies under the Gold Standard. Mr. Deodhar has also been involved in development of several baseline methodologies dealing with bio-fuels, energy efficient devices and space heating systems using geothermal energy. He has successfully led the Technical Support Facility of Asian Development Bank’s Carbon Market Program during 2007 – 2012 during which around 100 projects were supported for registration under CDM.
